Militants related to Syrian Bashar ul Assad have destroyed and desecrated the Grave of 6th Umayyad Caliph Hazrat umar Ibn Abdul Aziz in Idlib Yesterday.
The matter come into Light when Video footage of the destruction emerged on social media.The video showed the graves of the Caliph his wife and servant all damaged and the Contents exhumed and disappeared.The graves were located in village of Deir Al Sharqi in the area of Maarat Al-Nu’man is seen to be burnt following the capture by the regime and militas forces in Feburary this year
As reported by Turkish news organisation Daily Saba the whereabouts of remains of the Caliph and his wife is still not traceable.Hazrat Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz was a descendant of the companion of the Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) and second Caliph Umar ibn Al Khattab is a highly respected ruler who enforced justice in a short period of 2 years and 5 months in 8th century
His reputation is noted in History and earned him the title of the fifth rightly guided Caliph
This is not the first time that Assad regime Loyalists done an ugly crime but they previously exhumed Muslim Sunni Graves after conquering territories
In February some videos appeared in Social media where same Militias were seen exhuming the graves of Sunni Fighters and commanders .They were Playing with skulls of the exhumed the sad part is this is fully supported by the Assad regime
