Ambassador, CIA Director, Vice President, 41st President and father of the 43rd President, George H. W. Bush Sr. wore many hats. In Pakistan, he will be mainly remembered for his principled stand during the 1971 war. On December 15 that year he was greatly impressed by the speech of Pakistan's Z A Bhutto. A few years later he was dismayed by his execution. Ten years after the assassination, as President, he welcomed Bhutto's daughter Benazir to the White House as Prime Minister. After the earthquake of 2005, he came to Pakistan as the US President's special representative and greatly helped in resource mobilization. In the Health Sector, he will be long remembered for his services to the people with disabilities. He passed away three days before we will observe the day for the people with disabilities. RIP President Bush - you led a full and rewarding life!
