To alleviate this problem, the Livestock Department has given good news to the citizens and offered Rs. 200 in cash to take the stray dog ​​to the livestock office. ۔ The scheme is aimed at curbing the breeding of stray dogs and for this purpose, the Livestock District of Peshawar has also procured a Chung Chi motorcycle to collect stray and stray dogs roaming the city streets and transport them to the office.

In this regard, Director Livestock Department, Peshawar District, Masoom Ali Khalid told Express that killing stray dogs is an illegal act and a violation of animal rights. Steps should be taken to protect the city streets from stray dogs and stop their breeding. People need to play their part. The livestock department has brought a unique package in collaboration with the district administration of Peshawar to stop the breeding of stray dogs under which Rs. 200 per dog will be paid.




Masoom Ali Khalid said that a special operation theater for animals has been set up in the Livestock Department of Peshawar in which a modern ultrasound facility is also available while animal surgery is done in 2 to 5 minutes.

It may be recalled that last month, a video of cantonment board officials killing stray dogs went viral, prompting calls for action.
