Mexico: 24 killed in shooting at drug rehabilitation center

Gunmen stormed an illegal drug rehabilitation center in central Mexico and opened fire, killing at least 24 people and wounding seven others.

Police in the north-central state of Gianjuto say seven people were injured in the attack in the city of Erapioto, three of them in critical condition, according to the Associated Press.

State police said the attackers apparently shot everyone in the rehabilitation center, but no one was taken hostage.

Police said photos from the scene showed that people at the rehabilitation center were lying on the ground when the bullets were fired at them.
