New Invention to prevent Heart Attack.

Scientists have used a new technique as a last resort to save a patient with a heart condition.
Forty-nine-year-old Richard Reach has been fitted with a small balloon device near a heart attack valve. He was advised by doctors to have open heart surgery.

Doctors at London's King's College Hospital say the procedure will help treat him.
He said that after further such experiments, the device would be able to help thousands of heart patients.
Richard is an architect and has been very ill since suffering a heart attack and has difficulty breathing.
One of his heart valves was closed and his heart was overburdened with blood pressure.
However, in June 2015, the device, which was still considered dangerous, was implanted in Richard's body and he was sent home a few days later.
After five months, his heart has recovered so much that doctors have been able to operate on his heart valve.
Professor Wendler believes that this treatment could be an alternative to open heart surgery in heart patients.
"When the doctors had no case, they resorted to a new treatment," says Richard.
"Now I walk and feel better. What the doctors did to me was nothing short of miraculous. "
"My life is indebted to them."
Professor Wendler, head of the medical team, believes that this treatment could be an alternative to open heart surgery in heart patients.
One-fifth of the total population in the UK suffers from heart disease. According to Professor Wendler, at least five to ten percent of these patients have a severe heart attack due to a heart valve. All of these patients benefit from this treatment.
