The Lara-Lappa Girl was born as Khurshid Jahan.She got her First Role as a Character Artist named Ambhi sister of Raja of Taxila in Sohrab Modi Famous Film Sikandar.Sohrab Modi made a Contract with her which Forbid her from doing Roles in other films which she Later broke down.
She was Married Five times in Life.Three Marriages in India.She become Famous after Marriage with Roop.K.Shoray.who got some Training from Hollywood. She signed her for the Film Ek-The Larki The song Lara Lapa Lara Laye Rakhdi made her so Famous that she was known as Lara Lappa Girl.
She Acted in Few Films in India.
She Converted to Hinduism after marriage with Roop.K.Shorey.and in the Year 1956 She moved to Pakistan with her Husband on invitation of J.C.Anand and they worked in a Film Miss-55 However she was not the Heroine and Sabiha Santosh were the main Lead.
She refused to Go-Back to India and stayed in Pakistan which was a Huge Blunder However she remain in Pakistan and again converted to Islam She worked in 11 Films as lead and 18 as Character Artist.
She become very Poor after sometime and during the Process she Married.Raza-Mir the Father of Asif Raza Mir and Asad Bukhari.which ended in Divorce.
She had no Children. and Her 3rd Husband Roop-K-Shorey was her true Admirer and Lover.She went to India and He knew about her Bad condition.and helped her to come-out of it without her knowledge. as she was too Proud of herself.Things become worst when Roop.K.Shorey was From Quetta Baluchistan He died in 1973
Things become difficult for her after Roop.K.Shorey Death and she no-one and in her later days She died of Misery and Her Coffin-Funeral was raised by Charity-Money.
