General Zia Ul haq was in Kuwait Attending OIC  Conference when he was Informed of the Disaster  He Flew back meanwhile The Prime-Minister Junejo appointed a Committee without Him which was Headed by General Imamullah.
The Committee under General Imamullah openly Blamed ISI Head General Hameed Gul and His Boss General Akhtar Abdur Rahman,The Zia Regime tried to change the Report to a God Act but In Assembly Aslam Khattak strongly Resisted and zia could not change it.
The tension mounted so much that Zia finally removed his Handpicked Prime-Minister on 29th May 1988.
