He is a name that is known as the Highest No of times a man appears in Guinness book of world record. He-acted in 703 Punjabi and 100 Urdu films and was holder of 160 Awards all in Pakistan making him a World Record Holder.
Some of his Most Classical Films are Maula Jutt which makes him a Punjabi Icon in both India and Pakistan .he acted with almost every Heroine of Punjabi Cinema but his pair with Film star Anjuman made him so Popular that people who were forgetting to visit Cinema houses started pouring to watch his movies.
Sultan Rahi was born in Rawalpindi Punjab in 1938 to an Arain family during the British Raj.His father was a Subedar Major Abdul Majeed who served in British Indian Army.
He began his film career in 1959 as a guest actor in the film Baghi.but got fame from his Punjabi hit movie "Bashira"
Maula jutt was released on 11 February 1979 which immediately become successful and remain the most successful film ever in Pakistan.
He,appeared in key roles in 535 films which is itself a record and he was the highly paid actor of his time,
On January-9 ,1996 he was shot and killed by un-known person while on way to Grand Trunk road near Samanabad chungi close to Gujranwala with a friend Ahsan when there car had a Flat Tyre they were compelled to stop the car and when they got out some bandit tried to Loot them Sultan Rahi resisted the robbery attempt thus they shoot them both while Sultan Rahi succumbed to death his friend was injured but survived.
